OpenOffice.org remains the most popular open source answer to Microsoft's ubiquitous Office suite, and in these recessionary times, the appeal of "free" software is stronger than ever.
I've not updated my Mac with it just yet, but will do when I next use it. OpenOffice is getting closer to what most home users need with every release. Hardcore office workers might find the functionality lacking somewhat, but it's still a great alternative to Microsoft's offering.
