BBC iPLayer on the PS3 is an excellent addition to that console’s feature set. It’s a shame that this facility is not available for XBox users.

Look at Carbon and Mediaroom, they have a very large interest in the area, free or not

It's no different to iPlayer on Virgin though, you can't get the service without paying for a premium service. If you don't take the tv with the on demand you can't get it

All of Virgin's TV services come with on-demand - they don't charge you any extra to access iPlayer. Unlike Microsoft apparently...

But you have to subscribe to the paid service to use it, there is no free option like freesat etc

I don't pay for cable TV. Basic cable is free when you've got a broadband line with them.
