I suspect Joe Average will think 'Meh', especially since in this case he's likely to own the Bourne trilogy already :?

Too tight to put two discs in the box?

EDIT

Mind you, you could give one away so I can see why they wouldn't do that. It still doesn't interest me though. Blu Ray players upscale DVD's so I have no issue buying them knowing that I'll get Blu Ray in a few years.

As someone who is always in the dilemma of whether to buy a film on DVD or BR (my current rationale is that if it's new enough, buy in BR otherwise stick with DVD), I really welcome this option. I use the PS3 in my bedroom to play BR titles but would prefer to able to play on normal DVD players around the house too.

Dead horse flogged to oblivion. They'll be giving away free gifts with blu ray next.

Blu Ray will take off when you can buy a player (that upscales DVD's too) for less than fifty quid.
Until then DVD will reign supreme.

This was a brilliant feature on some HD-DVD discs and I'm glad to see it on BD.

They're down to £80 now. The problem is the cost of discs. Most people won't pay £20 for a film they can get on DVD for £5

True, there is a huge discrepancy on some items. On others the price difference is only a pound or two which makes Blu Ray worth while.
EG. Amazon - Queen, live in Montreal, £12.48 on Blu Ray, £11.99 on DVD.

Yip but equally, if you look about with many DVDs, you'll get them for £5-8 - mind you, that may be just me doing that ;)

Most people don't have to pay £20 - if you shop around, or just get them from a supermarket you'll usually pay maybe £2-3 more than the DVD version. Got Wolverine with the DVD and the Blu-ray in the same box for less than £20 from a popular supermarket chain...
