We will be out of this mess in no time with thinking like that. :roll:

NI goes up 0.5% in 2011.

Why on Earth are they cutting things given the state of the economy?

To be honest I'd rather bingo duty went up and NI got left alone, I pay enough NI as it is!

WTF! This is all from 2011. What's he doing to cut the £178 billion deficit in 2010?

I did see a comment on BBC's Have Your Say suggesting that the upper limit on NI should be removed so higher earners pay more.

They are going to have to look beyond bank bonuses.

High earners will lose their personal tax allowance so will effectively have a tax rate of 52%
