First of all, the plan sounds like a non-starter just to begin with, but the fcuking cheek of the Labour comments is laughable :roll:

Labour are just praying they dont get in after the next general election. They have seen the books and know how truely [LIFTED] up we are. The next government (whether Labour or Conservative) will have the biggist, baddest poisoned chalice seen this side of socrates last drink.

What a complete w**ker! Now they want to jazz-up climate change to get "down with the kids". Oh please. This reminds me of those times when Microsoft tries to be "cool", but ends up looking like your grandmother after discovering text speak.

Or maybe he is simply aware that the majority of the population respond far better to a positive carrot than a negative stick. Of course, when people have an agenda...

Its not about getting down with the kids its about showing the posative benefits.
Telling people that if you carry on as we are and some island in the pacific is going to be submergered isnt going to work. People will go "oh how sad, we must do something" and then do nothing. Tell them "ooh lets save you lots of money" and people might begin to go "ooh ok i'll do it"
The scheme with the insulation looks like a winner for everyone.. well except for the energy companies :lol:

He has a point. All we hear about the green message is how badly it will affect us:
• More taxes
• Less freedom to travel
• Power shortages
• Fuel prices rising

…and more. If you want people to actually take the agenda on board and willingly follow, you have to emphasise the positive. At the moment this is not happening.

It’s all doom, gloom and misery, which is just added to the doom, gloom and miser caused by all the other bad things that are going on at the moment.
