Aye, the only thing that ever gets me about cases like this is do we ever hear who actually committed the crime. Are they ever found in cases where there's been a miscarriage of Justice?

Just because he was found not guilty doesn't mean he didn't do it. If the police feel he still did it, why waste money on looking for someone else who doesn't exist?

Perhaps because he's been cleared and it is never the decision of the Police to judge whether someone is guilty or not guilty as that's down to the CPS whether somebody goes to trial and for the Courts to then decide.

That's probably why.

He's blatantly guilty, just look the picture in The Mail, look at his mad staring eyes, loudly staring at you shouting "I am guilty" and "I am f u c king mental".

Never said it was up to them on who to charge, but it is up to them whether there's any reason to start a new investigation.

I've seen Barry George interviewed on the TV and that - combined with his dubious past - made me think that he was a seriously disturbed person. I've always thought that he was probably the killer but there is insufficient evidence so what can the police do now?

Stop finding a suspect and then trying to fit the evidence to the suspect, might be a start.

I haven't read that link yet, but it seems there was so much in the papers that just didn't happen - the pictures of Dando around his house, interviews with 'sources' close to the case etc. I'll have to have a read at that later...
