Apparently, Patrick Stewart is to be knighted if this story is to be believed.

After several years playing a Captain he should already be used to being called sir. If the article is true, and which I haven't read btw.

He has done so much more than Picard role.

I saw him in an RSC production of Macbeth over 20 years ago, Star Trek was just a small part of his career.

I wanted to see him with McKlellan in Waiting for Godo, but it was bad timing this year. :(

Let's not forget Excalibur and Dune, although Lifeforce rocks.

TBH with so much that he's done, I'm surprised he wasn't knighted earlier.

+1

He’s broken a few barriers, and managed to retain credibility after playing a part in a US Sci-Fi show. Seeing him and Sir Ian McKellan duel with words in the XMen films, it’s pretty obvious that they are equal.

Don’t miss him (and the future Sir David Tennant) in Hamlet over the festive TV period.

Saw that at Stratford.. on the last night, where I could of sold my ticket for £400 but thankfully didnt. 8-)

I also saw Patrict Stewart in an RSC production of Macbeth in 2007 (it was set in post revaloutionary Russia).

He’s got a gold Blue Peter Badge, so he’s part the way there.
