I didn't know where I stood on this until I read that. Why should marriage just be about something you do when you're younger, especially since you might not have a clue what you're really about as a person?
Then there's calling it a moral endeavour - isn't that exactly what it's supposed to be about, especially in the 'loving someone' sense?
Marriage just isn't going to solve underlying problems, hell, it could make them even worse in some cases
