I'm most concerned about where the Anthrax is coming from. I don't know how these things work, but isn't it a notifiable disease? I guess the Heroin concerned didn't have an EU import certificate. |

I'm guessing that whatever the heroin is being cut with has the anthrax in it but I'm at a loss to explain what the mystery material would be that it's come into contact with a source of anthrax in the first place. Still, I did think it was somewhat humorous the doctor making an appeal to heroin injecting drug addicts to be extra careful. Firstly, I very much doubt they are listening int he first place and second how the hell would they know what too look out for? I doubt the dealers bother to put on a suitable label. |

A lad I went to school with ended up in an altercation one night after getting physical with someone having a go at his girlfriend. It was his first offence but the judge made an example out of him and sent him down for a few months. He couldn't handle it and got hooked on heroin in jail when he'd had no previous experience with drugs. Since then, after starting out with a GF and a good job he'd been holding down for several years, he's been an addict in and out of prison. What I'm saying is that circumstances can change, people end up in situations for different reasons and some can handle them whereas others cannot. There's usually a story and a reason. |
