just like a vast amount of other material/waste dumped around the world by British companies
just remember when you sort all your waste out in to separate components all you are doing is saving these companies the expense of paying and/or hiring employees to sort this waste so they can transport and deposit it overseas

far cheaper for them to do so, increasing there profits and those of there shareholders
British management at its very best …

I believe the company responsible - quite rightly - is facing prosecution in Amsterdam and a civil action in the High Court in London.

but this is not the 'only' British company dumping not just waste but 'recycled' waste overseas
we are doing the sorting of the waste to increase there profits as its cheaper to dump it overseas as opposed to dealing with this waste ourselves

reminds me of the old adage …
'where's there muck there's money'

but remember 'for things to change, first i must change'
we seem to, still, have along way to go …

Well we could implement legislation dictating that British waste has to be recycled properly within the EU, but somehow that seems like using a sledgehammer to crack a nut.

its not legislation that is needed its the fact that when 'you' recycle that waste its dispatched overseas

if the means for 'our' recycled waste was in place to be used as and for recycling then the people would not need, by force of legislation, to recycle

ie
sewage dried and condensed into blocks can be used along with household waste for generation of power
the methane produced from this waste is stored and used to dry this in a kiln for it to be used in power generation

the people have the will but the private companies use and abuse that will for profit, even and including dumping 'our' waste overseas as it (for them) creates greater profit

Great British management at its best …
