No wonder you've got a stupid post count [/jealous] I'm assuming he's held on communications issues (having a sat phone without a permit). At least they're tracking down people using comms without a permit (if only they could track the bloke in a cave with a sat phone) |

WTF? You need a licence to use a phone? It's impossible to use a sat phone that's not registered, and since they're world-coverage surely that's got faf all to do with any government? I didn't know that "talking" was a crime in India. I always thought "it's good to talk" ![]() I guess I'm spoiled by our Western libertarian ways. |

I was under the impression that a fair number of countries have some sort of licensing regime for such things? Certainly when I visited the Russian Federation I had to leave my mobile phone behind in the United Kingdom because you need a licence to use a mobile phone in Russia. ![]()
And even then it's better if you're on hold. ![]() |
