I make it classic example of spin. If you give money to married families, you can actually spin that as good for the traditional family or bad for single-parent families. The actual fact is single parent families are actually no worse off than they were before, just somebody else is doing slightly better in comparison.

Frankly I'd much rather the public monies were given to the public at large be they married or not, than given to a bunch of banks who wasted all the money they had, which they then give to a small number of merchant bankers who spend it on expensive crap.
