I'm already on minimum wage and a zero hour contract. I can't see how I could be any worse off without falling off the ladder entirely. |

a lot of the big retail companies went too these eastern European country's and had them sign contracts for employment here in the UK using their own country's laws for the contract at that time when borders opened in effect paying them at local rates for there country then bussing them here to the UK so paying them less then having to employ UK workers and also forcing/keeping wages/hourly rates low here a win/win situation for big employers creating larger profit margins (and bonuses) … |

Is that even legal? Surely you can't possibly work in the United Kingdom without being paid the minimum wage? |

if they sign to contract at the minimum wage within their country the contract is binding here for the duration of that contract certain retailers hired hundreds of workers using these tactics (every little helps) example, all night shift workers hired from Poland were paid at single rate instead of time and a half over here … |
