Holy cow! Talk about pedal to the metal!

The car in front is a Toyota because the throttle pedal is jammed under the carpet...

The car in front is about to be remodelled by that wall.

Hmm, Toyota said last night, that no decision would be made for Europe until Monday...

Leave it to the Irish to make springs that don't spring!

See, if Americans had manuals they could just push the clutch in and put it into neutral in an emergency.

As opposed to shifting it into neutral? :?

They never seem to think of that. Or switching the engine off.

Peugeot Citroen, Europe's second-biggest carmaker, is recalling some cars made with Toyota in Europe.

Engine not running = no ABS, no PAS, probably very little steering or braking at all

Can you do that in an auto while the car's moving with the throttle wide open?

I expect major recalls from Peugeot, Citroen and Renault, but Toyota surprise me - they've got a reputation for reliability that the French could only dream of. Surely Toyota should have known better than to work with the Peugeot??

This is for the Aygo/107/C1 isn't it?

They should have learnt from the Honda / Rover hybrid.

Hey, I have a Rover-era Honda Accord and it is incredibly reliable - it has Honda engine, EFI system and running gear. The only problems are with the window winders. I think what probably happened was Honda turned to Rover and said, here's the car, we just need some window winders from you.
