New Zealand teenager auctions off her virginity for NZ$45,000

So if you are paying for the virginity and not the sex then is it prostitution?

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

Is she hot?

Would be laughing if she turned out to be butt ugly and some guy paid £20k for her virginity, no refunds right?

She said she was pretty and athletic, so if she wasn't then that would be false advertising and you'd be entitled to your money back under the NZ equivalent of the distance selling laws.

She also said about "precautions" which I presume to mean condoms. I realise that's pretty important for her personal safety, but I've always found they remove pretty much all the pleasure. It seems a good way to totally wreck a one-time only offer :(

Personally, I think it's rather tragic. I hope she doesn't live to regret it.

I hope it's some 90-year-old who has problems controlling his drooling and soils the bed after taking her maidenhood.

I hope it's some awesome fella, and they have a great time together and she doesn't feel like she's been used in some fashion.

I agree....

... but I really hope he is truly awesome and just gives her the money and leaves it at that. :(

Naïve I know  :(

I can understand why people do it. Governments dump massive debts on students before they have even bought a home and are expected to start saving for a pension. If they want the same standards of living as their parents something has to give.

To be honest although there are many motivations to go to Uni the students do choose to.

I don't know about NZ but in Britain at least the rarity of decent practical education, vocational training and apprenticeships means there really isn't a choice anymore.

Except that the DSRs only apply if she's a business seller, not a private individual. The best defence you'd have would be mis-description, and there isn't any legislation that will help you, only the County Court.

Of course that's not even taking into account that English law does not enforce sexual or gambling "contracts".

Yes and not always for good reasons. I had one friend who did not have a clue what to do so went to university to decide. He picked philosophy as he thought it would be a doddle. He is now a professor of Philosophy in Canada. Many pick it because they are under pressure from family. With the government target of 50% of kids going to university it means that if you do not go to university then you are a failure. There has not been a commensurate increase in jobs that require degrees, so many are simply expensive wastes of paper.

So someone is paying to have a crap shag then? I mean being a virgin she's obviously not experienced and having paid for it there are no feelings involved. So basically someone is paying to 'deflower' her whilst she lays there and takes it. Creepy much?

Is that sort of thing even legal? They say so, but I'm sure someone will find a way of saying it isn't.

Technically you don't have to have a sexual relationship to not be classed as a virgin.
Is there a medical report to state she is actually a virgin?
