They'd need to drastically slash the price (and this is Sony we're talking about). Or, you know, add a UMD drive ;)

I thought that the PSP was struggling. The few people I know who had one got rid of them. The price cut needs to be significant to get any traction. Though considering the talk about the iPhone encouraging people to get a proper portable gaming console gives me the impression that they still have not got a clue.

I don't so much want a price cut. What I do want before I buy one at any price is a way to transfer the PSP games I already have onto it. That may be an included UMD drive or it may be an external peripheral (or even a way to connect an old PSP to a Go and use it's UMD drive) but the base fact is I have more invested in games than I do in the price the PS Go is now, let alone the price it might drop to.

Put it this way, the value I would have to throw away in games makes the PSP go monumentally expensive (probably iPad expensive). Cutting 50 quidoff the price of a Go isn't going to change that equation. Until that situation changes, they can charge what they like for it, I simply don't care.
