Like the comments to the article say it will be interesting to see if it works effectively in a browser, if I wasn't at work and blocked from facebook I'd sign up for the beta right now.

Sounds a good idea in theory but I've noticed sometimes Facebook is a slow as an asthmatic tortoise so that could be a problem.
