T-mobile have trademarked their specific colour of pink/magenta.

Just means no one else can start a delivery company with brown colours, or a phone company with pink colours.

Normally it’s a specific shade and often restricted to a specific market sector– they can’t trademark ( in the UK anyway) every shade of brown

I was worried my #2's would be in breach of trademarks.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colour_trademark - the EU seems to be slightly different to the USA in implementation.

T-Mobile have trademarked process magenta. THIS COLOUR

Similarly, you will very likely find that Mattel have a trademark colour pink for Barbie, Yellow Pages have trademarked a certain yellow. Orange. And so forth.

The T-Mobile colour is a problem because it covers web sites, so a web site with a lot of magenta in it could attract attention. They will also go after you if you use a colour that is not their colour, but which looks close enough.

They can have brown if they like. As long as they promise not to send my career-threatening-if-late packages to Belgium again instead of Redruth, then charge me £500 to get it back post haste. Or claim that "no we're not going to pay the charge ourselves, we wouldn't have a business if we had to do that for everyone...." WELL GET IT RIGHT IN THE FIRST PLACE THEN YOU TW@S!!!
