http://www.theregister.co.uk/2010/02/10 ... _tasering/ Wonder if his parents will sue? In the States the lawyer probably would have been hired already. Mind you, in the States the officer would probably deny doing anything wrong no matter how many witnesses there were ![]() |

In keeping with the Facebook group, I do think cops should have to shout 'Pikachu!' before tasing anyone. |

I love the phrase "....he'll be disciplined for discharging the weapon when he shouldn't have." That's a pun and a half for a Taser incident. |

Unless the kid was high on drugs carrying a weapon there simply is no reason for tasering a kid. I hope that the cop is fired or certainly demoted to set an example. Unless the authorities stamp down on such behaviour then you will get similar cases to those in the states were people in diabetic comas are shocked for not responding, or kids in nursery are tased for having a tantrum. Any death from a taser should be dealt with as attempted manslaughter and tried in court. If they lack sufficient evidence then the police force are to lose £3m from their budget for 2 years to discourage coverups and deter similar events. |
