We'll stop villifying them when they've shown they don't deserve to be villified any more. As far as I can see, they're making little or no effort along that path.
As I've said before, we 'paid the best wages to attract the best talent' before and they managed to build a timebomb so large it not only blew some of them up, it blew a whalloping great hole in the world economy. The very idea that anyone is still using that argument just shows how little some people have learned. Also, funny how this argument is never applied to roadsweepers or nurses or teachers, isn't it? I don't mind paying them large bonuses, just based on long term results, not short term risk. |

Actually if they were partnerships as they were before in the 80's before the Tories deregulated then I would have no problem with what they did because they would not be endangering out commercial banks and would be playing with their own money so if they lost it they would not be able to claim anything from the tax payer. Also any money that they made would also be made without taxpayer support. |
