Gordon looks like blowing it. Though I doubt Cameron will be able to get the economy back on track.

He doesn't have the nick name of "Randy Mandy" for nothing ;)

I reckon the Dark Lord will end up working for the Conservatives if they get in.

I'm torn. I could never imagine voting Tory. EVER. Then on the otherhand the fat one-eyed scott isnt doing me any favours either.

There will be other alternatives that would happily accept your vote. It's never been a two-horse race, despite the way it's portrayed in the media.

The thing I can never work out is, since the majority of the sheeple will vote for one of the two horses regardless, is voting for someone else a throw away vote? I realise that things will always be like this if everyone voted like I do, but when you see the results, the people really don't have the mandate and you end up voting for the party you hate the least, just to feel like you've had a say

What Zippy said.

Let's face it, we have far more by way of options than they do in America, where it's the GOP or the Democrats, everyone else sharing maybe 1% of the vote and almost never any colegiate votes in a presidential run.

From my viewpoint, economics is the most important issue and it boils down to this:

I would back Labour over the Tories to get the economy back on track, but they'd do it at the expense of an even bigger deficit - which I would have to pay-back!

I would back the Tories over Labour to reduce the deficit, but at the expense of the wider economy and jobs - potentially making it harder for me to get a job when I graduate in a year or two.

Meanwhile, the liberals are making a lot of sense - and I'd back them over both of the other parties. The problem is, would it be a waste.

I'd dearly love to vote liberal, but I think it will end up being Labour instead.

Why don't you just vote Liberal? In what way will it be wasted?

If everyone thinks the way you do, then it's no wonder either of the main parties always get in.

Because the polls show the liberals at 18%, 12% behind labour.

I'd suggest that most of the liberal voters would come from the labour camp, so at best the liberals would come second because a traditional Tory voter is highly-unlikely to vote liberal, so their vote will remain largely unchanged.

Liberals will not jump from 18% to more than the Cons 39% so it's a wasted vote.
