Brown 'Warned Over Violent Outbursts'http://news.sky.com/skynews/Home/Politi ... 5184?f=rssGordon's problem is there will almost certainly be some substance to this, the public wanna believe it anyway, and all it'll take will be one person saying they were shouted at

Just thought, he has one eye, a bad temper, all he needs is a hook and he will be set up playing Captain Hook in pantomimes for life.

Am I the only one who doesn't trust the leadership abilities of someone who's never been in a fight?

Heard a radio interview with her eariler on. Her stance was the story came out and Mandleson rubbished it, saying nothing like that had ever happened, so they felt obliged to go public and say that someone (or possibly more than one person, she was being careful to be non-secific about the actual details) had indeed contacted them and that saying it hadn't happened was the worst possible way to deal with the situation. If the PMs' office had just said 'OK, fair enough, we'll look into it' they could have kicked it into the long grass until after the election and it would probably be a dead story by now. Putting out a blanket denial, which an apolitical third party would then have to come out and refute, is just another in a long line of political blunders from the current PM's office.
