If I want to appreciate good science then I'll read a book.
This think tank can go **** themselves.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

Yes but few films get it right. Dante's Inferno did a reasonable job with the aluminium propeller in the acid lake as recreated by Hollywood Science for BBC/Open University. The floating mountains in Avatar are one extreme.

The amount of shows I have to avoid because they ruin films...

I don't mind the science being stretched a little - call it poetic licence. But when you see such [LIFTED] as The Core or Independence Day it really is taking the biscuit.

The bugs in Starship Troopers were alien, so who are these people to say the laws of physics apply to alien creatures on alien planets? It does annoy me when I hear sounds in space but I understand why it's been put there. What really bugs me in films has nothing to do with the laws of physics; why are computers/computer interfaces so damned loud? There's too many beeps and buzzes.

I'd be happier if they focused on historical inaccuracies first. Basically acknowledging that the US didn't win WWII on their own.

Well what about the Anti British bias in Hollywood? It is always the Brits who play the baddies. Maybe we just have a generally better acting range?

Let's take this 640x480 image and enlarge it into a crystal clear 1920x1200 image.

Using a keyboard when a mouse would be the preferred interaction. Typing a one word reply with a frenzy of keyboard taps, yet we can see the four letter word on screen... I could go on.

I thought that was because americans know that there's no way that they could come up with any kind of master plan and only Brits are emotionally cold and intelligent enough to do something like this. Plus, no american would do anything immoral.
