Their instore prices are often scandalous and their online store isn't much better, though you get the occasional great deal :)

We have two in town - one in a shopping centre, and one in Debenhams. I doubt that a town the size of Chelmsford has the capacity to keep both going. Both Bluewater and Lakeside have two branches. I often wonder why.

There's any number of them in and around Belfast, so I won't be surprised if a couple close. For instance the city centre has two, one essentially around the corner from the other, and right next to an HMV

I'm sure the Trafford centre must have at least three. I know they took over a couple of other chains and just respecced their shops but there really is massive room for rationalisation in the chain. Mind you, the one I go to occasionally is right next door to an Asda superstore that sells all the 'chart' games for 10-15 quid less than they do. And was selling MW2 for 20 quid less before Christmas. I don't know how it's stayed in business this long, frankly.

I never got that either

Both Eldon Square and the Metro Centre have 2, I think the Metro centre might actually have had 3 at one point...

Pre-owned market

50p/£ profit on used games compared to 13p/£ profit on new games or so

I'm always amazed at the pricing in Game. I regularily see new games in the at £40-£50 that you can get elsewhere (on the net admittedly) for £15-£30. Plus the amount of pre-owned games they have there that cost more than new.

There are two in Brighton within a few minutes walk of each other. I have not bought a game for a while but game were all right for pre owned games plus if you bought a lot in one go they were willing to through in deals.

But..... it's one of the few places you can trade in games.

Thats is true and although I've done it recently (£25 for Assassins Creed 2) eBay moe often than not will give you a better return. The downside there is having to list it and post it, etc and be stuck with fees.
