Depends where the crack appeared - in the tanks at work, we get seasonal leaks from time to time, although obviously nothing like that amount of water's involved.

I'm pretty sure there's more water than that in Wales in any season, even when the leaks are in short supply.

If it had been worse and large numbers of the animals had died as a result the hotel would have had a real struggle to get over the PR disaster in the short to medium term. Though the Fish and Chip nights would have been popular for a few weeks. :D
