I think that is more appropriate.


You see, you have a syntax error at line 10.

Code:
10 POKE USR 16514,100

(or whatever value between 0 and 255 you wanted to POKE to that address)

IIRC, the ZX81 didn’t have an END statement.

This shows how much time I spent with my ZX81 and how much of it has stuck....

I never programmed on the Speccy. I remember odd bits of Basic and I know that END is not a valid command either.

IIRC it would be STOP, but in the example code above it would not be necessary.

A much geekier answer would to have done it in raw machine code. That was never in my skill list. :D
