Judge lifts anonymity of Yorkshire Ripper in minimum sentence bid

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstop ... e-bid.html

If he ever got parole, then Jeremy Clarkson will make more comments about lorry drivers killing prostitutes.

There will be such a debate about whether he should ever get out if he gets his sentence clarified...

I doubt whether he will get parole. His crimes are so serious and callous, that he may get refused parole.

I don't get this. Surely we already have his name and his face, as they were widely publicised at the time of his trial.

Or I'm missing the bleedin' obvious - not the first time.

I read it as the press potentially having a field day with it and affecting his chances, whatever your view on that may be...

Yes but if he was released then the picture that we have of him is decades old. We really need a new photo. Maybe a website for convicts, like convicts reunited where they have their photo updated annually so that should they escape or we are recruiting for a blag we know that we are dealing with the right person and and not an undercover cop. ;)
