The council expects Transport for London to bear half of the cost, with the rest being paid for by Westminster Council, the Crown Estate and Fortnum and Mason.

Why are Fortnum and Mason paying for this? Their store is a few hundred metres off to the right of the picture.

They seem to have underestimated the number of vehicles that travel through in this mock-up

Yes there are considerably fewer cars in the mock up than there are now? Where will these cars go instead?

They cropped the picture, just out of frame is a camera and a sign saying that this area's congestion charge is 100 quid!

Um... they don't seem to have actually done anything to it.

OK, they've made the island at the bottom edge of the picture a bit bigger and slightly moved the may in to Glasshouse st but that's about it.

I can't see how that can justify spending 14m on it.

I thought that the kerb near the Trocadero was bigger, maybe because the news stand is not there, and removed the railings from all the kerbs. They may be planning to repave the entire area as well.
