The committee said that although there was no evidence of medical harm, more tests were needed, especially on the possible impact on unborn children. Therefore it recommended the precautionary principle should apply

aah the safe guard of the comittee. Try and do nothing and if that fails try and say we are doing it to protect you until you can prove it absoloutley can do no harm. Which is basically inpossible to do.

I am not affected by the mosquito as an oldie, with ears that are unable to pick it up. Even so I do not think that it is right that the young get blasted by this noise. What about babies and dogs. This will only create more noise. It might also be against the young citizens civil rights and not all are trouble makers. The fact that oldies cannot hear it does not mean that it violates noise pollution laws.

I don't agree with the use of this device either. Why on Earth should I be bombarded by a constant whining noise whilst I am walking down the street?

By all means call the Police if someone is breaking the law, but the last time I checked this was a free country and congregating in a public space was not a crime.

Indiscriminate assault in the same way that saying everyone who wears a hoodie is a hoodlum.

I think that this technology has it's uses with regards to preventing hijacks at sea, and possibly riot control. But the possibility of it being used anywhere by anyone is just wrong to me.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.
