The problem with this law is that while it might help the BPI but what it will do is harm many other businesses. They might start with torrent search engines. S many heavy P2P users may either set up underground sites which are ultra mobile so can be changed regularly. Users may find that without a need for such speeds that they drastically downgrade their connection. That will hit the ISP's financially. Longer term with people unable to experience a film or music online they are much less likely to buy. Thereby hitting the music industries sales. With no piracy who will they blame next? |

We've had piracy since long before the Internet. Serious pirates will always find a way, oohar. |

Yes they will buy one copy and not use the internet to distribute the pirated copies. The law change will have loads of unintended consequences. |
