It won't be your cup of tea but it does mean people will be able to watch the Champion's League and Football World Cup in HD regardless of which service they subscribe to. This is a good thing.

I barely watch ITV or have over the last year or so. I am not interested in the dross that they produce but there are lots who do. In the long run if this means HD Tv will be available for the things that I like to watch then that is good.
