Yes but for the majority who are not technically capable this is useful. Though for Virgin they benefit by encouraging users to secure their systems and to stop bot nets etc.

Have you seen the prices? This is just a money-making scheme for Virgin - people would probably be better off just Googling the problem (at the library, a friend's house etc) or taking the item in question to a shop.

I thought it was free for 30 mInutes. If they cannot sort it 30 minutes they really are not that good. It would be good if there was a good simple guide even a pdf that users could read to help them set up firewalls, the basics of AV and malware protection. It is really something that PC or even mac magazines could have as a free supplement.

It is free for 30 mins but the offer's so short lived and ill-promoted that it's little more than a press release for the net audience anyway :oops:
