I still wouldn't vote, it would reduce my 500 a month text allowance by one, it's simply not worth it.

Then you would get the government you deserve.

To be honest if we could get the verification / security right on I for one wouldn't have an issue with voting by SMS.

Anything to help get the voting percentage increased. The current state of us having a minority of eligible people voting is scary.

What exactly does that mean, nothing, because we have the government we as a population of Sky TV watching, Sun reading, 4x4 driving, massively in debt morons deserve, a bunch of nest feathering, money grabbing, public school [LIFTED]. Voting doesn't make any difference, it's all about the illusion of choice, if people realised (or more to the point were actually bothered) that voting made no difference we'd be living in a very different country.

The only true democratic decision is to choose not to vote, or rebel in which case you just get labelled a terrorist.

Make it mandatory but have a none of the above option. If enough people vote for "none of the above" then the candidates get no expenses for the duration of parliament.

Now I would pay good money to see you say that in front of a group of veterans.

It doesn't go down to well, especially if said veteran is a monarchist and you throw in a bit of anti royal comment.

The situation now is different, soldiers in Afghanistan and Iraq (inc. people I know) aren't really fighting for democracy in the same was as say WW2, in fact they're not really fighting for democracy at all, more like corporate colonialism.

I'd certainly vote if there was a "none of the above" option.

I think it would probably be much easier to get the security right online.

I'd like to be able to vote using the direct.gov website.
