My favourite in flight pilot tale comes courtesy of a friend Luke. Luke was on a flight to Switzerland, with his friend Tom, who we nicknamed The Wookee. So, Luke and Wookee were sat on the plane, when the pilot, a Hans Olo gave his announcement. Luke... Wookee... Hans Olo... flying... Life rarely gifts such circumstance. |

That's just reminded me of a very funny BA pilot on a flight from Birmingham to Aberdeen a few years ago. |

Care to enlighten us? We once had a female pilot, there was a huge cheer when she parked the plane. |

There were snow/slash rain storm in the area. He aborted the first landing as one was right over the airport, which he then followed up with the following announcement (in a typical posh pilot voice). "Good evening ladies and gentlemen, I'm afraid there will be a few minutes delay before we land. I've asked the airport to run some skid tests on the runway after that last squall as I expect the runway is wet and slippy, and I don't do wet and slippy." |
