Hold on why should the BBC pay over the top for the presenters. If they leave the BBC can always find new talent. I am sure that many would appreciate being given the chance to get their foot in the industry.

True, but the kettle is still black regardless of the hypocrisy. BBC3 seems like a waste to me and the Beeb does waste money on hight wages for the big wigs.

The executives should have big pay cuts as well. They are overpaid.

Twenty years ago the chairman was on a salary closer to £60k now it has risen ten fold and has there really been that much improvement. Just because the commercial TV companies offer stupid sums does not mean that the BBC has to. It could promote from within.

Therefore the rates they pay are about right if they promote from within the people will simply be tempted away............. :?
