He wasn't proud about it when his career hinged on teenage girls buying his records.
At least Will Young came out at the start of his career.

On the radio this morning it said he was advised not to come out as it may damage his career. I've no idea who his advisors are or whether or not they're idiots.

Well I suspected this many years ago. I'm sure it was made out he wasnt gay to appeal to the female audience.

A few years ago, I worked with someone from LA who did a pop video with Ricky out in the desert.
Apparently, Madonna turned up and spent some 'quality time' alone with Ricky in his trailer.
I can only imagine that they spent time playing Twister, given the reported movement from the trailer.

So, yeah, he's been shagging fellas for years. ;)
