Microsoft is going on the offensive against Google, accusing the search giant of creating a browser that does not respect user privacy. The company posted a video, embedded below, on TechNet Edge with the following description: "Watch a demo on how Google Chrome collects every keystroke you make and how Internet Explorer 8 keeps your information private through two address bars and In Private browsing."

Microsoft, do you really think you can start calling people on their browsers? Considering you are the biggest thorn in the internet and every web designer out there.

Cut the bull and be responsible and publicly own up to IE6 and kill it.

Realistically, I wonder what would happen if they released an unavoidable update that annihilated IE6...People would be pissed off, especially business...But people have built their infrastructures around MS, so they wouldn't lose any big customers...

Can the resident doctor(s) on the forum give comment on the rash on that guy's neck?

That's pretty low down for a normal razor rash...

On another note, IIRC Google only gets that information if you have search suggestions enabled (how else would it work?), and they don't store that data.

I have not and will not install Chrome because of its data policy. In that respect Microsoft are right. It might be the best browser but the downside is simply not worth it for me.

What data policy? Have you actually read any of the material from Google which dispel many of the common myths about Chrome and data mining?

It is their data policy re searches. Even if they have a much better policy now they have tarnished their reputation with me. They should have not have pushed the limits to the extent that they have.
