bit of a joey deacon... ill get me coat. You dont go to a show with a comedian like Franki Boyle if you might get upset over his type of jokes.

+1 You have to accept that you might be the target especially if you are in the front row.

Seen this elsewhere. Readers were commenting that they couple were most likely laughing when he laid into other disabilities.

So it is okay to laugh at other disabilities as long as it does not hit too close to home. Hypocrites.

I remember going to see Dylan Moran a while back and one joke in particular feeling a little more like a punch in the stomach than anything else; I really didn't enjoy it, nor did I appreciate it. However, the last thing I'm going to do is complain, not due to any sense of Britishness but simply to avoid making myself into a monumental hypocrite, as I'd laughed at plenty of other things he'd said that were pretty insulting to other groups of people.

Remember his tour is called "I Would Happily Punch Every One Of You In The Face"

He's a complete cock and shouldn't be allowed to perform.
The comments he makes (some people call them jokes) are purely primary school jibes at any minority.
He is not clever, I doubt he could enter into sensible conversation with anyone. He could quite easily be out witted by my 5 year old sister.
Cancel his tour and stop him from ever performing again.

Alternativelt, allow those that find it funny to go, and don't go yourself. It's really not hard to avoid any contact with the man if you don't want to. I cannot abide Roy "Chubby" Brown, think his attempts at humour are largely pathetic etc. but I'm not going to sit here and say the man shouldn't be allowed to go on tour.

I agree. Roy "Chubby" Brown is not that funny but I would not be against his touring. I simply would not go.

I like Frankie Boyle. Makes me laugh. Reminds me of my youth growing up in Greenock. If you think his comedy is near the bone, you should've heard the stuff we'd come up with. I've had to scale back the content of my comedy with the work mates vastly, I'd daren't say boo to a goose in a comedic fashion any more. Fair enough, if he's not your cup of tea, you don't have to get your wallet out, buy your ticket, turn up at the venue, then sit there waiting to be offended. You needn't do that. Stay at home and don't watch his comedy. And that, at the end of the day, is all it is. Some laughs. Establishing a context in which you can say outrageous (although accurate) things knowing that you're almost daring your audience to laugh. Take the risks. Comedians taking liberties with their audience's sensibilities is nothing new, and if Frankie Boyle wants to make a joke out of Down's Syndrome then he should be able to. +1 for not going to see FB if you find his brand of humour offensive. Saw him live a few years ago. It was very funny (though I'd say personally that Russell Howard is actually funnier live) and pretty much bang on what I was expecting. However, the thing that I remember most from the gig wasn't anything from Boyle's act but something from the warm-up act, and something that came from the audience to be specific, probably because it was unexpected.

I don't particularly like the guy or his comedy, pretty much everything he says makes me cringe. However: +1

TBH most jokes poke fun at someone, whether it be the welsh, the redneck or even just a human.
If you're going to be offended by anything like this, lock yourself indoors, destroy all tv/computers/radio etc, seal up the letterbox, close the curtains, put in some earplugs and put on a blindfold.
Otherwise there's going to be something out there that will offend you.
