I though we only used them in situation where real firearms would normally be used? ie I'd rather a police marksman shot me with a Taser than with a gun. |

Yes but the chances of you being in a situation where the police likely to have use fire arms against you are probably nil. Though the chances of them actually using a taser against you are considerably higher. Jittery cops at some weekend town centre misidentifying any threat, of even just tasing you instead if using a baton in a crowd. These weapons are much more likely to be used against you. |
