http://www.guardian.co.uk/business/2010 ... -regulator

Unless a number of GS people are found guilty this will basically be a sham. The Tories wanted even less regulation than Labour cut it down to. I cant see them being tough on financial crimes because many of them will be hoping for a career in banking once their political careers are over.

Yes but if nothing comes of this, then it will damage the reputation of London. It will become a place where crooks can prosper, and so honest people will avoid banking here.

Yes they have and we need to reform the laws over bonuses when you make losses to start with and not restrict it to banks. I think that if we do as the Liberals suggest and break the banks up they will be much smaller and so their pay will not be such a problem.

We need laws that allow them to take risks but not at our expense so splitting merchant banks from the commercial banks would help a lot.

sorry have you stopped taking your medication? Your worrying that crooks may prosper in the city, as if they aren't all ready.

Yes prescription ran out a while ago.

It used to be honourable in London even on big deals. The big bonuses screwed up peoples incentives and motivations. Yes it is a crooks paradise at the moment.

Well Goldman Sachs have asked if they can deregister the man at the centre of the investigation.
