If Labour appear to come third, and there is a hung parliament, Brown will be invited to form a government. I think Clegg* is right to say that the system should not reward failure, but the outcome could be unpalatable to many who voted for his party and not the Tories. I think Brown is on notice, and Clegg has been very keen to remind him of that. *Comedy Typo: I typed “Clagg” as “Clagg”! |

Under those conditions I would think that Gordon will be forced out and a new labour leader will be found very quickly. If Gordon does not go then the Liberals will side with the Conservatives. So a no win for Gordon. |

Smart move. Less people would vote Lib Dem if they thought doing so would keep Gordon Brown in a position of power. |

Yes but the majority might not want a Tory PM. Still difficult to decide whether such a great idea. |

Maybe. I'm just working on the assumption that more people hate Gordon Brown. |

There are many in the Labour party who hate Gordon as well. The horse trading that will follow hopefully will mean that Gordon goes but who knows what will follow. The one thing that may not happen is that Gordon does not become PM. |

If he's thinking aligning himself with the Tory scum, I'll definitely not vote for him. |

And that is the attitude of many. The problem is that neither the Tories or Labour have a leader that people actually want as a PM. |
