UK punters will be able to pre-order the Ipad from this Monday for one penny shy of £430. That investment will get you the 16GB version, chuck another £60 on top and you can get yourself the 32GB version, or, cancel your holiday plans and opt for the £599 64GB version.

This is assuming of course that you want WiFi, but not 3G or anything else common like that. Combined 3G and WiFi models will lessen the kid's university fund to the tune of £529 for 16GB, £599 for 32GB and £699 for the 64GB version.

The US price is $699 for the 64Gb wifi iPad equates to roughly £476 yet they are charging £599 for the same version. VAT is £89.21 so the extra might be duty and extra margin because of currency. So not so bad.

Yahoo! Says 10% Of Their Mobile iPad Traffic Is International Share

In a post on Yahoo’s Mobile Blog, the big purple Y! seems pretty gobsmacked that 10% of iPad traffic is coming from outside of the US, despite the fact that there has yet to be an international roll out of the tablet.
These aren’t just Canadians dipping south of the border: in fact, Yahoo claims that the U.K, France, Germany, Taiwan and Hong Kong are responsible for the vast majority of international iPad traffic.
At first, I thought that the vibrant international iPad resale market was more responsible for this trend than a handful of international travelers, but maybe not: according to Yahoo, the number of iPad users between the ages of 35 and 44 is thirty-six percent higher than the U.S. Yahoo average. For me, that looks like the age bracket you’d most likely expect business travelers to fall into.
