I would have thought it was down to higher anxiety over wrinkles, "what if he finds a woman closer to his age?", "does my bum look big in this?", having to get up earlier to put the make up on before he wakes up. etc.

Drugs being able to reduce your life span doesn't mean younger lovers can't as well

I know that they might or might not. but the fact that some younger people have a shorter life span is not relevant.
