I now need to buy a house with enough grounds to have a herd of wallabies.

I'm not sure I like the idea of increasing the size of an alien species.

Yes but at least they are big enough to count if they go missing.

And it shouldn't be a problem if you tie me kangaroo down, sport.

your missing the other benefit of having a wallaby, according to this documentary I saw when I was younger, they were amazing at rescuing people from mines, gansters and saving people in general. They could also be understood by nearly all aussies as well!!!

Whilst good for fertilising the lawn, I can't imagine they will be carbon neutral will they?
plus if you had 2 acres of lawn would you not be wanting a sit on lawnmower to play on? I would!

Yes but I think that wallabies like their kangaroo cousins do not fart, so are much more carbon friendly overall than sheep or other herbivores.

who has tested that out? has someone sat in a locked room all day with a kangaroo thats been force fed beans? i think all animals pass gas, its part of the digest by product. maybe not in the same volume as the methane menace of dairy herds but if they eat the same thing (grass) surely the by products will be the same?

The australians. They are actually trying to find out why. They think that it might be down to the bacteria. They are trying to see if they can replace cattle gut bacteria with kangaroo bacteria to see if that has an impact on the methane output of cattle. If it does it could wipe billions of tonnes of CO equivalent from the carbon impact of farmers.

That is definitely a plan B I can support.

If they only eat plants then it is a closed cycle. The only CO2 they breath out comes from the plants they eat, which breath in the CO2 to grow. In effect, they are a lawn mower that is fuelled from the grass they cut. Remember if you cut the grass by any other method and just leave it, then it rots down to produce CO2 and methane through bacterial decay.
