So, a token gesture, to save something like 0.0000011% of the deficit. Yes but can you see Cameron giving up more than 5% of his now £170 000 salary?  They should get much tougher on all MP pay. A Pay freeze for the duration of parliament would be a start. Didn't the leader of the opposition already get paid a ministerial salary?
I agree, Mark, it's a gesture. But with a little more thought it could have been so much more than just five per cent. *shrug*

The more I think about this, the more I need to get into politics. Even without the ridiculous slush fund, I mean expenses system, it's a pretty damned good earner.
