http://www.computerandvideogames.com/ar ... ?id=247057 I think if anything is killing PC game sales, it's just how good the consoles have gotten. And everything is just that much simpler with them. Maybe Steam is more the way forward for developers at the minute ![]() |

I don't think console will ever replace PC for me, because any kind of FPS based game is far more natural using a mouse and keyboard (to me anyway) than any controller I've used. It mostly boils down to the fact that a specific hand movement on a mouse corrolates directly to a certain amount of movement, rather than a specific rate of movement. |

"Facebook might save PC gaming" Do they seriously think Farmville is the future for the likes of a Radeon 5970? |

Yes. Have you seen how crapply that app is coded? It's an insane resource hog! |

True but people like SWMBO spend hours on it and only complain when it crashes to their “IT Support” – which provides a 24x7 and live in service at no cost |

I would probably agree. Though while games consoles are getting better so are computers. The benefits of a console is that it is usually subsidised at first, you do not need to worry about will my machine meet the specs required? and you can have it in the living room. Certain games are best suited on computers because of all the keyboard commands. What might be killing game sales is the prices. We are still coming out of a recession and money is tight for many. Many countries are facing higher taxes and falling incomes. That is not a good environment for leisure sales. |

Aye, it depends doesn't it. Adventure type FPS I like on the PS3, no doubt as I was first introduced to Lara on the PS anyways and that's stuck with games of similar ilk from Uncharted to the FF series. RPGs, definitely the domain of the PC for me. |
