GameStation has launched a new service that lets gamers swap their games and console for an emergency cash injection and then buy them all back later.

Gamers over 18 need only bring their ID and a load of games to swap for the notes. They then have 28 days to return to the store and buy them back before they are slapped on shelves and sold to someone else.

This can't lead to anything good. Now, every time you need some funding for that pre-pay day mash up your Xbox will find itself being man-handled into a store room by some shop assistant.

No thanks.

It just sounds grubby, doesn't it?

And God only knows what the d1ckhead developers complaining about the second-hand market will make of it

Really? So all they are doing now is holding off for 28 days before selling them on again if you ask....

Yes but will it be used? A pawn broker license may be needed.

Like so many companies, they're relying on human error and laziness. And it'll probably work
