At $100/£70 plus VAT is low enough for me to consider a couple for me to stream my own films to my TV's. I doubt whether I would use it to stream content from iTunes because of the cost on a regular basis but I am sure that I will do do it once at least. I do have a freebie from iTunes from Christmas so could try with that.

I love my apple tv but it's not without it's flaws, I use it for music only, it's a great way to manage music and play through my system. But the lack of support for movie files is not the best.

I doubt they'll improve the files played but at the price I would be inclined to re encode to stream to the other tv.

I used the Apple TV at the party last weekend and it was very good, coupled with my iPhone... Outside, in the party tent, I could take requests and change tracks.

The biggest problem with the Apple TV is the interface is too complex, or the remote too simple... None of the girls can turn the darned thing off, when they are finished with it! No matter how many times I show them! They can switch the TV, the hi-fi and the Blu-Ray player off, because they have a off button on the remote and an off switch on the device itself. The Apple TV doesn't. You have to go to the settings menu!

Likewise, I have had it for about 3 months now and my girlfriend is only just about confident enough to try and use it to play music, when I am not there!

It needs to be a lot simpler to use...
