Maybe he's gambling on them all turning it down outright (or just not getting the numbers), trying to make himself look good. Either that or he's stupid enough to believe that showing the public Labour's potential leaders squabbling on TV will be 'engaging'

A leadership debate will not help him. He is too slimey and it will be turn off TV. It is clear that he thinks of himself as fresh as Nick Clegg, but hardly.

I'm not particularly interested. Afterall, it's not for me to decide.

Perhaps they should just webcast them on the labour website, or something? Then members can see it, but it doesn't gobble up air time for everyone else.

That is a far better idea. Plus as many of us will not have any say in the outcome why have it on TV anyway as you said.
