In other news, an old lady caught a bus at a bus stop today.

I don't know why the media think we're obsessed with this celebrity stuff. Actually, it seems most people are obsessed by this celebrity stuff. I'm finding myself almost completely out of step with the world around me.

Well, with Gazza I sort of think there's been interest in him because he's had an 'interesting' life, but I know what you mean ;)

Have you tried listening to Adam Curry and John C Dvorak's No Agenda show? (http://www.noagendastream.com/ or through iTunes Podcast section), they feel much the same. They dig through what is really happening out there, when they do mention a celebrity story, it gets a jingle "back to real news...", because that is all the press seems to report - that or "the distraction of the week," they seem to think that a lot of the celebrity stuff is put there to keep the couch zombies entertained, whilst distracting them from what is really happening... I think it could be right up your street. ;)
